SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Metrotenerife reports this Thursday that the double-trams of Line 1 have transferred a total of 227,335 passengers from Friday the 17th to this Tuesday, on the occasion of the Carnival bridge, which represents a growth of 27.50% compared to Demand data for the year 2019.

The most significant increase occurred on the day of the arena held on Tuesday with 36%, the company details in a note.

Based on the demand registered per day, the highest volume was reached on Friday, the day of the Annunciator Parade, with 65,057 passengers, followed last Monday, with 52,458 customers.

In general terms, during the night carnival, 12.7% more passengers were accumulated than the figures for 2019, and as for the ‘Daytime Carnival’, 16% more passengers.

It should also be noted that validations through the ten+móvil application grew by 80% compared to 2019, and that customers used it to make 33% of the trips from the La Paz stop on carnival nights.

The service, in general, has developed normally, without noteworthy incidents, and punctually conditioned by the time slots of the tram workers’ strike, in which the minimum services decreed were applied.
