SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Highways area, has put out to tender the improvement of the island highway TF-12, which runs along the Anaga ridge.
The conditioning project will be carried out between kilometer points 9.46 and 28.67, which go from El Bailadero to Las Mercedes, located in the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna.
The First Vice President and Island Councilor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, explains in a note that “the initiative will have a budget of 4,069,354 euros and contemplates the replacement of the road surface, the improvement of security systems and vehicle containment , as well as with the substitution and improvement of horizontal and vertical signage”.
With these works, he indicates, “we will improve more than 19 kilometers of track and we will respond to the demands of the residents of areas such as Chamorga, Roque Negro or Afur, improving the service we provide to the population centers of the Biosphere Reserve in Anaga , but always respecting its environmental value”.
The insular director of Highways, Tomás Félix García, also highlights that after “this approval of the contract file and the list of administrative clauses, the project is put out to tender, to start the works as soon as possible.”
These works will have an approximate execution period of 12 months.
