A 23-year-old girl has been seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred this morning on the Autopista del Sur (TF-1), at the height of the Puertito de Güímar exit, in Tenerife, as reported by the Center Emergency and Security Coordinator (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 24-year-old girl, who at the initial moment of assistance had moderate polycontusions, and the driver of the other car, a 54-year-old man, who suffered injuries, was also injured in the accident. trauma to the chest.
The event occurred minutes after six in the morning, when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert reporting the overturning of a car after it collided with another in the aforementioned direction, for which reason Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
A medicalized ambulance and two basic life support ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), members of the Tenerife Fire Consortium, Civil Guard agents and personnel from the Highway Service of the Cabildo de Tenerife traveled to the place.
Firefighters freed the driver of one of the vehicles that was trapped as a result of the impact. SUC staff assessed and assisted the three affected. The seriously injured young woman was transferred to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital and the rest to the San Juan de Dios Hospital.
The Civil Guard instructed the corresponding procedures after the accident and Highway Service personnel were in charge of cleaning the road.
