SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 20 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will experience one of its most traditional and popular events this Tuesday, with the celebration of the Coso Apotheosis on Francisco La Roche and Marítima avenues starting at 4:00 p.m.
This multicolored parade brings together all the festive formations (comparsas, rondallas, murgas, musical and choreographic groups), as well as the Carnival Queens, costume groups and decorated floats and cars. Televisión Canaria will broadcast the show live from 4:00 p.m.
The City Council of the capital of Tenerife will install a total of 7,500 seats for the public along the route, in addition to the stands placed in the vicinity of the Island Council, with capacity for more than a thousand people.
The Coso Apotheosis is one of the acts that attracts the most visitors to the city at this time, coming largely from the tourist areas of the south and north of the island. The forecasts place the number of buses with hikers that will arrive in the city from noon tomorrow, Tuesday the 21st, at more than 270.
The festive agenda for Shrove Tuesday will open at 11:00 am with the celebration of the traditional concerts on this date in the Plaza del Príncipe. At the aforementioned time, the recital by the dean of the murgas, the Afilarmónica Ni Fu Ni Fa, will begin, while at 12:00 noon the Los Fregolinos Lyrical Musical Group will do so.
