SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 18 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A woman, of whom no further information has been disclosed, has died while she was diving off the coast of the municipality of Fasnia, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred today, Saturday, around 11:00 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert stating that a scuba diver who needed assistance after a dive had been pulled out of the sea.
A basic life support ambulance and another medicalized one from the SUC moved to the place; a doctor and a nurse from the Arico Health Center; Local police; General Corps of the Canarian Police and Civil Guard.
Another diver who identified herself as a doctor verified that the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest and began to perform resuscitation maneuvers on her. Personnel from the SUC and the Health Center continued to perform advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, confirming her death.
Agents of the General Corps of the Canarian Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources. The Civil Guard guarded the body of the deceased until the arrival of the judicial authority and instructed the corresponding proceedings.
