SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 19 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A man, of whom no further information has been disclosed, has been hospitalized in critical condition after suffering an accident while riding a bicycle in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred yesterday Saturday, around 4:25 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert stating that a cyclist required medical assistance after suffering an accident on the TF-121 road, at point kilometer 2, approximately.
The Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources and a basic life support ambulance and a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Local Police and personnel from the Road Maintenance Service of the Cabildo de Tenerife traveled to the scene.
Once there, SUC personnel assessed and assisted the affected person who, once stabilized, was transferred in critical condition by medicalized ambulance to the University Hospital Complex of the Canary Islands due to severe head trauma.
The Local Police regulated traffic on the road and issued the corresponding report. Highway Maintenance Service personnel carried out cleaning tasks on the road.
