Titsa offers more than 267,000 extra places during the week of Carnival. The president of the public transport company dependent on the Cabildo, Enrique Arriaga, points out that “the bus becomes a comfortable and safe alternative” as a guarantee of “easy access to Santa Cruz” and a “more agile” return by enabling a preferential step in the controls of the Civil Guard. The company reinforces the service of 17 lines with 4,100 additional trips from today to the 26th, which include the capital’s urban service, once the workers’ strike notice has been resolved.
The Santa Cruz Interchange will be open 24 hours a day on the 17th, 18th, 20th, 24th and 25th. The La Laguna Interchange will be open all night, but only until 02:00, on Friday the 17th and 24th. Special services of lines 014 and 015 connect Santa Cruz with La Laguna throughout the night. At night, lines 102 and 104 (Santa Cruz- Tacoronte – La Orotava), 10, 110, 112, 111 and 711 (Santa Cruz-Costa Adeje), 112 (Los Cristianos-Santa Cruz), 108 are notably reinforced. During the Day Carnival (Sunday 19 and Saturday 25), the Arena (Tuesday 21) and the Burial of the Sardine (Wednesday 22), Titsa also reinforces its operations. The company has designed a security device at the Santa Cruz and La Laguna Interchanges, coordinated with the State Security Forces and health emergencies.
