“Total abandonment” and “unfortunate image”. This is how the Popular Party qualifies in the Cabildo de Tenerife the situation of the car parks of the Hospital del Norte, facility located in the municipality of Icod de los Vinos. He PP will ask at the next Plenary Commission of the Presidency of the island Corporation the reason why the parking lot of the northern hospital center is in “a state of inadmissible abandonment”, as denounced by the popular counselor in the island institution Águeda Fumero, who will question to the insular government on this matter.
The question is prompted by a visit by Fumero together with the PP candidate for the Cabildo Presidency, Lope Afonso, and the candidate for Icod mayor, Cory Yanes. The three found the complaints from “many users” of hospital facilities about the poor condition of the parking lot, “with potholes and undergrowth everywhere”, in addition to the “poor condition of the pedestrian accesses”, which “represent an added accessibility problem for users and those who walk from the bus stop”. The PP recalls that in 2014, the Institute for Social and Socio-Health Care of the Cabildo awarded the operation of the car park to the Society for the Promotion of People with Disabilities (Sinpromi). In fact, the access to the car park was equipped with a guardhouse and a barrier control system, which “has never worked”.
