The CEST and the Aseme organization promote the role of women entrepreneurs

The Círculo de Empresarios y Profesionales del Sur de Tenerife (CEST) and the organization of business women, executives and entrepreneurs ASEME Canarias signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting entrepreneurial culture and consolidating the role of women in the business sector.

During the meeting, the president of the CEST, Roberto Ucelay, assured that, through this agreement, the ties between the associates of both entities will be strengthened, promoting the organization of projects, events, conferences and joint training according to common objectives. In this sense, he explained that “uniting to defend the interests of businessmen and women will undoubtedly foster the economic development of our territory, even promoting the opening of new markets and spaces for collaboration, among other aspects that we have already been promoting separately. ”.

Roberto Ucelay stressed the importance of translating, through this agreement, the common commitment to promote equality, respect and support for women entrepreneurs.

Likewise, he highlighted the importance of conciliation for the business community which, in the words of the highest representative of businessmen from the south, “is important for all entrepreneurs, since the development of business activity is very demanding of time, beyond the famous 40 hours per week.

Lidia Monzón highlights the business opportunities that will arise through the agreement

In this sense, the president of ASEME Canarias, Lydia Monzon, highlighted the union with business associations with more background, such as CEST, to share wisdom, good work and add value to its members. Likewise, she demonstrated her willingness to share events with the Círculo, present projects and ensure that this alliance is effective for both parties. “This step was something dreamed of for the two associations and it gives us the opportunity to continue making the figure of the businesswoman visible,” she assured.

Monzón agreed with the president of the Círculo regarding conciliation and explained that “it is a problem that affects both men and women.” He also highlighted the business possibilities that the signing of this agreement entails: “It is important that Gran Canaria and Tenerife come together in order to continue establishing commercial relations and making our business networks grow.”

With this agreement the CEST ratifies its full support and commitment to the businesswomen and entrepreneurs of the Canary Islands. In addition, through the agreement, both entities undertake to work in a coordinated manner to achieve certain objectives, such as presenting joint projects, consulting, research and improvement related to entrepreneurship, improving business competitiveness, consolidating of alliances with other business associations at the national and international level and the union of the experience and knowledge of both associations, among other issues.
