The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Highways area, has published the project to rehabilitate the surface of the TF-215 highway on its route between La Matanza and El Sauzal.
This action will have a budget of 1,567,601 euros and will have a term of execution of six months from its tender.
The vice-president and island councilor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, details in a note that among the actions planned, a new surface layer will be extended, the edges of the road will be adapted, the side walls in poor condition will be improved and the railings will be replaced. drainage by new sinkholes”.
In addition, it adds that “canopies will be placed at three bus stops located and the lampposts and supply networks that occupy part of the ditches will be moved.”
Arriaga also recalls that “throughout this mandate, interventions are being made systematically to rehabilitate the insular road network, which was badly damaged as a result of intensive use and poor maintenance” and insists that “on many roads It had been decades since they had invested”.
For the insular director of Highways, Tomás Félix García, it is “a necessary project that will facilitate the transit of vehicles and increase road safety.”
Likewise, it assures that it is “a performance of great caliber since it covers more than three kilometers of highway that extend between two municipalities.”
The project foresees a comprehensive action on the TF-215, which begins its route on Calle Real, whose starting point is at the roundabout that connects with the TF-217.
From there, it continues along Calle Rafael Ramos and extends to the connection with the TF-5 regional interest road of Lomo El Espigón.
