The Municipality of Guía de Isora requests the Cabildo de Tenerife the opening of the recreational area of Chío, in the middle of the pine forest, after the partial completion of the work to improve the park with areas for chops. With these works, access to the site, the car park and the new area for motorhomes have been conditioned. It has also carried out the rrenovation of furniture -such as benches, tables, swings and stoves-, the adaptation of some infrastructures -such as new walls that will evacuate the traditional runoff that accelerated the process of soil erosion-, the creation of a space for the mooring of horses and the remodeling of the area for motorhomes and camping.
Besides, the sanitation of the recreational park has been improved, which will have purification systems to treat wastewater from the two new toilet modules, whose installation will be completed throughout this year. These toilets will be closer to the areas of use and will improve the adaptability of the services. These facilities will also be suitable for intensive use, with photovoltaic energy and toilets specially designed to withstand possible acts of vandalism.
The Councilor for the Environment of the City Council of Isora Guide, Francisco Baute, celebrates the remodeling of this new space: «After this performance, we can now enjoy a space that is much more comfortable, accessible and better adapted to the needs of users. A mooring area for horses has also been included, which was a historical demand of many of the residents of the area.
