SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 11 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
María Hernández has been chosen as the Ciudadanos (Cs) candidate to head the electoral list of the party for the Mayor of La Laguna (Tenerife) after obtaining the unanimous support of the Local Assembly.
In this way, after the Autonomous Committee ratifies the decision, Hernández will lead the list of Citizens in the municipality for the May elections, as indicated by the formation in a press release.
Hernández, who was born in La Laguna and has worked for years as a Local Police, has been convinced that “this city needs a change and I am willing to give it to them.”
“I have in mind many projects that can make La Laguna progress -he continued– and I am willing to fight for them. Proposing ideas and presenting programs is enough, what the Laguna residents need is action”.
For this reason, he has proposed a “committed team willing to listen and carry out what the neighbors need.” “Just like Tenerife, La Laguna needs us to get it going,” she said.
In this line, he assured that “there is a lot to do in the municipality, we will present to the lagoons an electoral program that includes the concerns and demands of the neighbors and that reflects the values of Ciudadanos.”
Finally, Hernández referred to the citizenry as an essential part of the municipality, “no city exists without the people who make it up and as representatives of the people we must listen and attend to their requests and needs, that is our task as politicians and that will be the premise on which I will base my candidacy”.
