SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, 11 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The spokesman for the Gomera Socialist Group Parliamentary Group (ASG), Casimiro Curbelo, will take the “unpostponable” need for a public service obligation (OSP) between the Green Islands to the Parliament of the Canary Islands next week.
This has been reported by the formation in a statement in which it adds that its representative will ask the regional government about this matter for the creation of this area and maritime OSP between La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.
For Curbelo, this issue, which “would respond to the lack of offer for mobility between these territories, which requires a stopover in Tenerife to move between the Green Islands”.
Thus, he explained that the time spent moving between La Gomera and El Hierro is today much longer than the time it takes from one of these two islands to reach Madrid.
For this reason, the spokesman rejected “any doubt” about the economic profitability that these routes could have, “because here we are not talking about economic performance, but about the rights of some citizens who have always been at the tail of progress on these islands.”
