Ofra district will have its own “Day Carnival”, on the afternoon of this Friday, February 10, thanks to an initiative of the CIFP Cesar Manriquewith the collaboration of the district office, and which will open its doors to all citizens to offer an open-air fair in the purest carnival style.
Designed for an audience of all ages, you can enjoy playful game stalls, endowed with interesting prizes, musical performances, food stalls and various artistic performances, including the visit of recognizable characters from the Chicharrero Carnival.
It is a project devised and managed by the students of the center themselves, from the morning shift of Production of Audiovisuals and Shows, which will have the involvement of students from other cycles, such as those of Lighting, Capture and Image Treatment , Video DJ and Sound, Production of Audiovisuals and Shows, Marketing and Advertising and Electrotechnical Systems. Called ‘Ofra-Carnival Mask Singer Carnival Fair’, the event has the support of some twenty public and private entities on the island.
In addition, to complete the circle, it will have a charitable nature, since participation in the fair stalls will have a very affordable price, with all the proceeds going to the non-governmental organization Apreme, a Tenerife collective dedicated to caring for people with intellectual disabilities.
Schedule, artists and activities
The Ofra Carnival Fair will open its doors at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, and can be accessed from the center’s side entrance, next to the Jumbo Shopping Center Park. Until 8:00 p.m. the planned activities will take place, highlighting the performance of prominent artists from the Canary Islands DJ scene, such as Renzzo El Selector, DJ Mike and Saúl Lúxor.
