SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The lyrical singer Néstor Galván will make his debut next March at the Teatro de la Scala in Milan in the opera ‘Los Cuentos de Hoffmann’, by Jacques Offenbach. The tenor from Tenerife will play the role of Nathanael, under the musical direction of Frédéric Chaslis and the stage direction of David Livermore.

Galván, originally from the Ofra neighborhood, studied singing at the Tenerife Conservatory of Music, graduating with top marks in 2015.

After spending time at the Opera Studio of the Opera National du Rhin, in Strasbourg, where he worked during the 2020-2021 season, he has sung at the Marseille Opera in the production of Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’, playing the role of Malcolm, and at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid, together with the RTVE Symphony Orchestra and Choir, at the season closing ‘Ecos de la Belle Époque’, playing the role of El Remendado in the opera ‘Carmen’. In August 2021, he was awarded in Nice in the Grand Prix de la Voix competition, with a concert at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.

In Tenerife, the tenor has participated in the Festival de Zarzuela de Canarias, as well as in various performances at the Auditorio de Tenerife.

The opera ‘Hoffmann’s Tales’ will be performed in eight performances at La Scala in Milan from March 15 to 31.
