Trapaseros wins the murgas contest of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 4 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Trapaseros won the first prize for interpretation last night in the murga contest of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The second prize went to Diablos Locos and Bambones ranked third, while the jury recognized Burlonas with a second prize.

Regarding the presentation chapter, the jury awarded the first prize to Mamelucos, while the second and third prize went to Bambones and Diablos Locos, respectively. The second prize for best costume was won by Ni Muchas Ni Pocas.

More than 5,000 people vibrated at the Tenerife Fairgrounds with the grand finale of the adult murga contest of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which included the participation of a total of eight critical groups.

The Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, accompanied by the councilors Evelyn Alonso, Carlos Tarife, Rosario González, Dámaso Arteaga and Javier Rivero, were in charge of delivering the prizes to the winning groups.

The final began with a performance by the Afilarmónica Nifú-Nifá, out of competition, to give way to Trapaseros, Mamelucos, Zeta-Zetas, Desbocados, Diablos Locos, Bambones, Burlonas and Triqui Traques.

The Interpretation jury was made up of Víctor Brito González, reporter for the program ‘Una Hora Menos’ on TVC; Esther Gómez Megolla, morning professional at Diez Capital Radio and content creator; Miguel Ángel Batista Rey, film, theater, television actor, clown and acting teacher; Melanie Alexandra Henríquez Mena, narrator and international dubbing actress and announcer; Natanael Padrón Navarro, sociologist and cultural manager; Miriam Caparrós Casals, executive producer of the La Ventana Mágica Association of Performing Arts; Elodiè Marcos Estrella, musician and music producer; Silvia Zorita (Silvia María Zorita Santana), opera singer, and Elisa Sonia Cedrés, professional musician and teacher at the Escuela de Música Moderna de Canarias.

The Presentation jury was made up of Héctor León León, fashion designer and theater and film costume designer; Bárbara Chávez Méndez, Bachelor of Fine Arts and professor of Graphic Design at the Fernando Estévez School of Art and Superior Design; and Elizabeth Suárez González, Bachelor of Fine Arts.
