The Breña Alta City Council has completed the administrative process aimed at modifying the General Plan of the municipality in the Urban area of La Grama 2, which allows more space for commercial development in the town.
The councilor responsible for the area, Jonathan Felipe, has indicated that the efforts of the municipal government group have focused on providing new resources that generate economy and attract job creation, as well as social and economic development for Breña Alta.
This is a first step that, through other planning tools, such as specific modifications, will provide this space with uses that complement the services that the residents of Breña Alta in particular, and of the region in general, will receive.
In this sense, after a four-year process, initiated at the beginning of the mandate, the Consistory has managed to modify its General Planning Plan in the Urban area of La Grama 2, allocating it initially to residential land.
Now, this space located to the south of the plots occupied by two large commercial areas will allow this commercial park to be expanded and complement the offer and activity in the municipality, which will benefit the local economy.
In this way, the commercial specialization of this area is achieved, an achievement pursued by the municipal government group, framed within the urban strategy for the commercial development of Breña Alta, and specifically responds to the forecasts of the General Plan for commercial empowerment of the El Molino axis -La Grama, structured by the section of the LP-3 Highway between the El Molino junction and the nearby gas station.
Jonathan Felipe stressed the important role played by this planning modification, which makes it possible to turn this area into a true pole of commercial attraction, of a strategic nature and a glue of economic activity of island relevance.
In addition, the municipal head of Urban Planning, María José García Álvarez, stressed that it is an area that, together with the strategic developable land of the Buenavista Airport and the future Open Commercial Area of San Pedro, structured by Calle Treinta de Mayo, between the centers of Bujaz and Parque de Los Álamos, make up a triangular structure of strategic activities on which the future development of Breña Alta will gravitate.
