The PSOE of Arafo leaves the local government considering that its partner, Agrupación Independiente de Arago (AiA), “has disassociated itself from a project of a marked municipal nature to definitively integrate into the Canary Islands Coalition (CC)”, according to the mayor and spokesman. Socialist Jose Francisco Pestano.
Remember that in January 2021 an agreement was reached whereby the PSOE councilors would be integrated into the municipal government, assuming specific delegations at no financial cost to the Corporation and without integrating them into the local government board, with AiA having a majority /DC.
“Throughout these two years, the proper functioning of this agreement has been demonstrated, which has been crucial to unblock issues of importance for the municipality; However, for a long time the AiA has been disassociating itself from it, in which the political acronyms were parked to one side and a team focused on working for Arafo was sought, ”says Pestano.
