Hemodonation continues with its blood donation campaigns on the islands

The Canarian Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH), an autonomous body attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islandscontinues touring the Canary Islands with the aim of facilitating blood donation to the entire population of the islands.

Weekend departures

Tomorrow, Saturday, February 4, a donation day will take place in collaboration with the Sports Club Tenerife. This will take place in the hours before the match against Albacete BP, with two ICHH mobile units located at the gates of the Heliodoro Rodríguez López, in the Plaza Anexa, popular stands, to serve the fans from 12:00 to 17: 30 hours.

For its part, on Sunday, February 5, it will be possible to donate in The Gran Canarian palms. The extraction point will be located on Calle Triana, nº 70-72, at the height of Guirlache, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirements to donate

To donate blood you can go directly or you can request an appointment by calling 012 or 922 470 012 / 928 301 012 (option 8), from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or by filling in the form published on the cover of the web effectodonacion.com. Before going to donate, it is advisable to review the information published on this same web page in the Information and Protocol tab, to familiarize yourself with the established security measures and the self-assessment test.

The ICHH also recalls that people vaccinated against the covid-19both with one and two doses and the booster dose, can donate blood 48 hours after inoculation.

Next week the donation campaign begins in Agaete. The ICHH mobile unit will be operational from February 6 to 9 in Parque Popular, formerly IES, at Calle Juan de Armas, no. 6. The hours will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On the 9th, the activity of this extraction point will end at 8:00 p.m.

In the palms of Gran Canaria, the ICHH will be installed throughout the week in Triana, next to Guirlache. The hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Monday the extraction will begin at 9:30 am.

On February 7, the ICHH will travel to the IES Tony Gallardo, on the highway of The Coloradass/n, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and from 3:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Wednesday the 8th an extraction team will travel to the Sports Complex The Rehoyason the road ancient del norte, s/n, from 9:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Likewise, the fixed point of donation of the Alcampo Shopping Center, together with the Lottery Administration, will open on February 6 and 10, in the morning, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., on the 6th, and from 9 :45 to 1:45 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

On February 9, the ICHH will visit the Air Control Center of Canary Islands to facilitate blood donation to internal staff. This collection will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Also on Thursday, the 9th, there will be an extraction at the CESUR Training Center, at Calle Mendoza, 6, in the industrial estate, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Finally, next Monday the staff of Anfi del Mar, on Juan Díaz Rodríguez street in moganfrom 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Regarding the fixed blood collection points, the ICHH makes its headquarters available to the population at number 4, Alfonso XIII street, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m.: 3 to 9:15 p.m., except holidays (it has a ford for donors).

The fixed point of Santa Lucia de Tirajanalocated in the annex of the Health Center of Neighborhoodin Calle Guatiza, s/n, will remain open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (except holidays).

You can also go to other fixed points of the Canary Transfusion Network (without an appointment) such as the Maternal-Infant University Hospital of the Canary Islands from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where you can donate Monday through Friday from 10 :00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., except holidays (it has a ford for donors in both cases).

Lastly, at the Hospiten Roca San Agustín you can donate by phone by appointment, by calling 928 301 012 (option 8), from Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (except holidays).

Next week the La Guancha campaign begins, being able to donate in the Plaza de Las Ferias, on Avenida Hipólito Sinforiano s/n. On Monday the hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday from 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Thursday from 9 :15 to 13:30 and from 16:15 to 20:30.

In addition, on Monday, February 6, the ICHH will visit the IES La Guancha, on Avenida Cristóbal Barrios Rodríguez, s/n, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Also throughout the next week you can go to the new fixed point located in the Multicentro Comercial El Trompo de La Orotava (sector 10, Las Arenas, exit 36 ​​of the TF-5, next to China Town). On Monday the hours will be from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the attention to the public will be from 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Friday the hours It will be from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

On February 8, the ICHH will visit the CEIP Camino de La Villa, at Airam street, no. 2 in La Laguna. The hours of this extraction day will be from 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Finally, on February 10 you can donate in San Cristobal from La Laguna, on Calle Obispo Rey Redondo, in Plaza de Los Remedios, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

The week will end with the campaign aimed at the personnel of the Hoya Fría Military Base. Hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

As for the fixed points, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife you can donate at the ICHH headquarters at 14 Méndez Núñez street, corner of Pí Margall, from Monday to Wednesday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. 3 to 9:15 p.m. (it has a ford for donors).

Extractions will also be carried out at the San Isidro Health Center, in Granadilla de Abona, at 2 Arguayoda Street, from Monday to Wednesday from 1:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. . This point has a parking space reserved for donors and telephone service is made through the number 677980518, except holidays.

With regard to the fixed points of the Canary Transfusion Network, at the Hospital Universitario de Canarias you can donate (without an appointment) from Sunday to Friday and holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and at the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., except holidays.

In addition, you can also donate at the Hospiten Bellevue on Calle Alemania 6, Puerto de la Cruz, by appointment 922 385 235 (option 1), Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (except holidays). By phone appointment 922 645 511-extension 463, you can donate from Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., except holidays.

Next Monday the donation campaign begins in El Hierro. This will start on Monday the 6th in Frontera, in Tigaday, on Calle del Congreso. The hours will be Monday and Tuesday from 3:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On the 8th, the ICHH team will travel to El Pinar, in El Mentidero, on the main road to La Restinga, from 4:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Finally, on February 9 and 10, the mobile unit will move to Valverde, locating itself on San Francisco street (parking area) in the urban area. On Thursday the hours will be from 3:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where to donate in Fuerteventura

In birda mobile unit will be installed next week at Playa de los Pescadores, next to the children’s park in Morro Jable. Hours will be Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

You can also donate at the General Hospital of Fuerteventura, where the fixed blood donation point of the Canary Transfusion Network is located on the island. This point will be operational from Tuesday to Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To donate, it is convenient to make an appointment at 928 546 684. Except holidays.

Next week you can donate at auntswhere a mobile unit will remain installed in the Municipal Sports Center located on Calle de the Fight, nº 6, from Monday to Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. On Friday the hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

The fixed blood donation point of the Canary Islands Transfusion Network will also be operational at the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To donate it is necessary to request an appointment at number 928 59 55 72 option 3. Except holidays.

The General University Hospital of La Palma, on Calle Buenavista de Arriba s/n, in Breña Alta, has a fixed extraction point where you can donate by appointment from Monday to Sunday, and holidays at 10:00 a.m.: 00 to 20:00 hours. To request an appointment by phone 922 185 312/922 185 320.

The Hospital Insular Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe has an extraction point where you can donate blood from Monday to Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ( except holidays). It is necessary to make an appointment by calling 922 140 200 or 922 140 213.
