The prices in the Tenerife Carnival, as far as accommodation is concerned, they are skyrocketing. He carnival The most important city in the world welcomes a large number of tourists and visitors who want to enjoy the event, which causes hotel and apartment prices to rise. Sleeping in a central apartment the first weekend, from February 17 to 19, costs 1,500 euros.

The reality is that, entering any vacation rental platform, the remaining offer for the dates of the Tenerife Carnival is very limited. There are only a handful of accommodations left, most of them offered by individuals, so prices have skyrocketed.

A central apartment, for four people, reaches a price of almost 1,500 euros for that first weekend of partying. In some hotels the night for two people exceeds 340 euros. They also announce that they have few rooms left.

If the objective is to stay in the epicenter of the Carnival of Tenerife, that is, in the Plaza de España and surroundings, you have to prepare your pocket. A hotel in that area, with the right to breakfast, costs almost 1,500 euros for the entire first weekend.

The Carnival of Tenerife affects the entire island

But it is not something that only affects the Santa Cruz-Laguna area. Due to the massive arrival of people looking for accommodation, moderately priced apartments come to reflect figures that skyrocket due to the celebration of the Santa Cruz Carnival.

A house 12 kilometers from Santa Cruz, which requires transportation, is offered for just over 600 euros for two nights.

The same will happen in the Cross port. He Carnival this year it will fill the hotels in the city, many of them have already closed sales. This is confirmed by the Councilor for Tourism, Carolina Rodríguez, who anticipates that the City Council is preparing some “big” carnivals so that people “can stay here to enjoy themselves and not have to travel.”

Rodríguez is confident that, facing winter and the rest of the year, the good trend that has been maintained since November of last year and that has been reinforced at Christmas will continue, with “a very good occupation and profitability for Puerto de la Cruz” . According to the data collected by the City Council Tourism area, occupancy during the month of December was close to 90%, a figure that is almost 20 points more than in 2019, where it reached 69.9%, “which was already very good ”.
