The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival festivities have launched a virtual assistant this year, “Chichabot”, which will answer the most frequent questions from users, inform about the events schedule, indicate their locations and even send notifications of the parties.
The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through the Autonomous Organization of Fiestas, is committed this year to technological innovation to improve information to the public about Carnival, as reported by the town hall this Wednesday in a note.
The virtual assistant is included in the well-known WhatsApp messaging application to answer any questions or concerns regarding the programming and services offered during the Carnival of Santa Cruz.

In little more than a week after its launch, close to a thousand people have subscribed to the service and more than 14,000 messages have been generated.
Once the first access is made, “Chichabot” will appear as one more contact in the Whatsapp agenda with which you can interact to request information related to Carnival.
For this, it will indicate matters such as “Plans for today”, in which the events scheduled for that day will be indicated; the “Events Agenda” to consult all the programming; the “Locations” in order to know what events will take place in the location selected, as well as “Public services” in which detailed information will be collected on the location of public toilets, the police, the Field Hospital, the purple point and lost objects, among others.
This assistant has been created using artificial intelligence technology by Chatbot Chocolate, a Spanish company specialized in Conversational AI.
The tool combines the use of advanced natural language processing techniques and button-driven dialogs to make it easy to use.
In addition, it allows its users to subscribe to an alert service that will allow them to proactively receive any alert, notice or news related to the Carnival party on their WhatsApp.
