The writer Samir Delgado announced yesterday legal measures to protect the family home located in the hamlet of Taborno, in the Anaga Rural Parkin Tenerife, of the demolition announced by the Santa Cruz Urban Planning Department, after part of the house was affected by the landslide of the slope on which it sits.
According to him canarian writer based in Mexico, although the house “is in danger of conservation after the partial collapse due to rain, which precipitated the eviction of his relatives on January 19,” he defends that the family home “can be fully rehabilitated, since the house it has a traditional plan” and is located on land inherited from his grandparents, “who have inhabited it since 1953”, explains the author.
The demolition file published in the BOE is for the writer “an abuse of power”, since, he assures, “it mixes the necessary prevention measures with an emergency demolition”, in addition to the fact that it has been done “without having the information of the family”.
From Urbanismo it is insisted that they are only following the procedure established by the technicians, indicating that “it is the owner who has to demolish and if he does not do it, we will do it.” In addition, it is remembered that the house may have asbestos waste, with the danger that it entails.
