Spring Hotels dismisses the Chief of Staff accused of sexual harassment

Spring Hotels fired its Chief of Staff after learning that the National Police is investigating him in a case of alleged sexual harassment. The hotel chain reported yesterday that, “as reported through the media, We have opened a process for denouncing gender-based harassment against our former director of Human Resources».

Apparently, the man made audio and video recordings of the complainant workers when they were in their workplaces or in their offices. For such sound and image recordings, the defendant allegedly used a mini-camera hidden in a kind of pen or a similar device.

It is the circumstance that several of the complainants had their temporary residence in homes located in the vicinity of one of the hotel establishments that the Spring Hotels company has in Arona and the defendant had the keys, which he used to enter the apartments without their consent. , according to the complaints. He would do this when the interns were inside and would sometimes find him there when they arrived at his residence, according to the sources.

The already former director of Human Resources of the Spring Hotels Group was suspended from employment since the company learned of the filing of the aforementioned complaint, as confirmed by the company.

Spring Hotels is a renowned hotel group that has signed collaboration agreements with several training centers so that its students can carry out their internships in the company’s establishments. Currently, it has the Vulcano, Bitácora and Arona Gran Hogtel & Spa hotels. All of them located in the municipality of Arona.
