SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The University of La Laguna has launched a mobility survey aimed at its entire academic community to find out behavior patterns related to trips to campus, timetables, mode of travel and other matters related to daily mobility habits. .
The ultimate goal is to develop a plan that allows mobility to be managed through different measures that try to guarantee sustainable behavior when traveling to study and work centers.
The questionnaire, supervised by the Cajacanarias University of La Laguna Chair of Economics and Mobility, directed by Professor Rosa Marina González Marrero, addresses what type of travel is carried out, if it is by shared car, individual, public transport, on foot, etc. It also requests information about the type of vehicle used -if so-, the consumption produced, the arrival and departure times or the distance to the residence address.
In this project, in which the Office of the Vice President for Infrastructure and Sustainability is also collaborating, general environmental questions are also raised to find out the level of concern and sensitivity of people, as well as the willingness to share a vehicle and change modes of transport.
The survey arrives at the personal email of each member of the University, as a unique and non-transferable invitation, while a personal password is also provided in the event that a password is requested for access. The deadline to send the answers through the online form is until January 31st. The University of La Laguna will raffle two portable electronic devices among the students to encourage their participation.
