The Santa Cruz Municipal Urban Planning Management has ordered the cessation of activity at the bar-kiosk in the Santa Cruz Military Square, after it has issued a resolution in which it annuls the communication prior to the installation and start of the activity carried out by the company responsible for the service. This is stated in the Official State Gazette, an announcement detailing that the resolution was adopted on August 20, but that, to date, it has been impossible to notify the company, so it has ended up being published in the BOE. As a consequence of the resolution, the activity must be stopped, the establishment must be closed, as well as the removal of the tables and chairs that occupy the public space.
As it is a public concession, the decision has also been communicated to the Heritage area of the Santa Cruz City Council “in case some type of penalty or similar were to come off,” the Councilor for Urban Planning, Guillermo Díaz Guerra, clarified yesterday. The mayor pointed out that the resolution was taken by the Department of Urban Discipline based on technical breaches “as is done with any other restaurant.”
The award of this kiosk was carried out in 2017 for 10 years and an annual fee of 8,520 euros. The concessionaire company took over the remodeling of the kiosk with an initial investment of 75,000 euros.
