SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 24 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

A student from the Nursing School of the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital, a center attached to the Canary Islands Government Department of Health, won third prize in the ClinicalKey Student Premium League. Natalia Barreto achieved the distinction among 90,000 students of Medicine and Nursing.

The ClinicalKey Student Premium League is an international competition for Medical and Nursing students that recognizes skills in using the features of the ClinicalKey Student platform. This tool enhances the learning experience with tailored applications to develop and assess the healthcare knowledge of future professionals.

This platform is part of the range of digital tools offered to its students at the University of La Laguna and the School of Nursing at Hospital La Candelaria.

The contest, which began on September 19 of last year and lasted for two months, brought together 90,000 students with challenges on different aspects, such as searching for terms, consulting books, trivia, puzzles, hidden objects or image banks. With these challenges, aspects such as ingenuity and the use of social networks were valued, two skills in which Natalia Barreto stands out.

an enterprising student

Natalia Barreto is a third-year student at the School of Nursing at Hospital de La Candelaria, a center attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands and the University of La Laguna. She is also the founder of Parchitaway, a health education youth group with a cross-cultural perspective.

Barreto also generates content about his profession on social networks. To this is added the publication of videos on Tik-tok to address type 1 diabetes, a disease that he has suffered from since he was eleven years old, from a didactic and playful perspective.
