SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 19 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Government Council of the Canary Islands has agreed this Thursday the dismissal of the Deputy Minister of Public Administrations, Manuel Martínez, and the General Director of the Public Function, Monserrat García, once the processes of consolidation of personnel of the autonomous community are already in their final stretch.
This was announced at a press conference by the executive spokesman, Julio Pérez, who has detailed that in the case of Martínez the dismissal occurs at his own request since he had long ago asked to be relieved because he is also a regional deputy and secretary of Organization of the PSOE of Tenerife and wanted to have more time to face the electoral campaign.
Pérez has admitted that it is “difficult” to combine a campaign leadership with institutional work and, as with García, he has thanked them for their “effort and dedication” –acknowledging that in the case of the general director she did not participate in the design of the consolidation process because it will concur–.
He has said that Martínez’s work has been “great” and anticipated that there will probably be some more change in the organization chart of the Ministry in the coming weeks in order to continue delving into the “modernization” of the department and of the administration itself. public.
In addition, so that there is no “slowdown” in the process of consolidating public employees, it has guaranteed that within a maximum period of two weeks the substitute for the vice-councillor will be appointed so that, in turn, he can design his own team.
