The inauguration of the International Tourism Fair FITUR 2023 has meant the premiere of the municipality of Arico in one of the most outstanding meetings of the tourism sector worldwide.
With the presence of the mayor, Sebastián Martín, the Councilor for Local Development and Tourism, Víctor García, and the Councilor for the Primary Sector, Davinia García, the municipality participates in this event with the “Arico, Saber y Sabor” strategy, framed in the campaign “Arico, Corners to discover”, to show the world the quality of its local products and proudly present the ecological and sustainable qualities with which they are grown, as well as its traditional gastronomy and natural attractions that make the municipality the perfect enclave for the practice of active sports such as climbing, hiking, cycling or diving.
In this sense, Mayor Sebastián Martín highlighted that “it is the first time in our history that we have participated in a meeting of global relevance and we want to take the opportunity to show the world our quality local products.”
For his part, the mayor of Local Development and Tourism, Víctor García, stressed that this opportunity “is an unprecedented challenge in the history of the municipality.” “With this campaign we reaffirm the need to put Arico on the map of tourist destinations in Canary Islands”. “We want to show all the characteristics of our gastronomy, active tourism and very special accommodation, as well as compliance with the development of the UN Sustainable Development Goals”, he added.
The Councilor for the Primary Sector, Davinia García, also explained that “the objective is to surprise thanks to our products derived from artisanal fishing or viticulture and that they can also taste the quality of our cheeses, honeys, oils, meats and vegetables”.
Parallel to its presence at this global meeting, the Arico City Council is also developing an advertising campaign with visual impact consisting of the display of the image “Arico, Saber y Sabor”, which invites you to get to know the municipality, on stands located at 19 Madrid metro stations, including some as iconic and busy as Nuevos Ministerios, Serrano, Ópera, Atocha, Callao or Barajas.
