Work begins to resurface the road that gives access to the Porlier Urbanization

The City Hall of La Laguna Yesterday, the works to reinforce the firm began in Urbanización Porlier street, in Bajamar, with an investment of 71,030 euros. This is an intervention that is of an urgent nature, due to the instability of the current pavement, which requires constant maintenance work by the Works and Infrastructure area.

The intervention in the Porlier Urbanization, which is included in the Reform, Expansion and Improvement (RAM) works on roads and public spaces, has an execution period of two months and will consist of milling the road and cleaning up the braziers existing.

The works also entail the burying of the concrete gutter in a section of the right bank, in an upward direction, and scuppers will be provided for the evacuation of rainwater, with which it will be possible to take advantage of the total width of the platform. The works will begin precisely with the action in this ditch to extend the road to the maximum, so it will not affect the access of the houses until the moment of the resurfacing with asphalt agglomerate.

The work has the particularity that it is the only road that gives access to the houses, so the Department of Works and Infrastructures asks residents to take extreme security measures when driving on the road while the works, especially considering the pronounced slope of the street, thanking in advance the neighborhood collaboration.

“We continue to take steps in our commitment to renew and improve the municipal road network, especially in those most demanded and necessary points to guarantee road safety”maintains the mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, and recalls that the City Council “has redoubled its investment effort in paving and asphalt works with two tenders that total more than 3.6 million euros and that will result in the improvement of more than fifty streets of our road network in different towns and neighborhoods.
