The largest mountain film festival in Europe, for the first time in Tenerife



The most important mountain film festival in Europe, the European Outdoor Film Tour, will arrive for the first time in its history in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with an appointment at the Guimerá theater on January 27.

This festival, a reference in Europe, arrives in the capital of Tenerife after more than 21 years of experience around the world, where it has visited some 220 cities, with some 560,000 direct spectators each year, the organization of the event has indicated in a statement.

The European Outdoor Film Tour, produced by the German production company Moving Adventures GmbH, celebrated its premiere in Munich, Germany, and has two stops in the Canary Islands and a total of nine in Spain among its more than 600 events in 27 countries around the world. His tour.

The European Outdoor Film Tour will have its debut in Santa Cruz de Tenerife with eight documentaries that cover disciplines such as mountaineering, mountain biking, trail running, paragliding, climbing, freeriding and alpine expeditions.

In addition to the 120 minutes of projections, the festival is completed with the psychologist and mountain guide Jordi Rodríguez Roca as a special guest.

With a multidisciplinary profile, he highlights the value of his experience and his training as a prison worker in Palma de Mallorca, using the mountains as a tool for the reintegration of prisoners.

The European Outdoor Film Tour has had exceptional guests from the world of mountaineering on the Spanish tour, such as the Skyrunner World Series champion, the Catalan ultra runner Sheila Avilés in Barcelona; the experienced mountaineer with a career spanning more than 30 years challenging mountains around the world, Carlos Suárez in Madrid; the head of Island Emergencies, leading forest firefighter and climbing fan, Federico Grillo in Gran Canaria; the Spanish ultra runner three times world champion, Luis Alberto Hernando in Zaragoza; and will take Jordi Rodríguez Roca to Tenerife.
