Three activists from the activist group Vegetable Future have carried out a protest action in an establishment of the Carrefour supermarket chain in Tenerifewhere they chained themselves and spilled fake blood to demonstrate against the “whitewashing of the meat industry.”
According to Futuro Vegetal, Livestock is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire global transportation sector combined.
The group has carried out several similar actions in the past, including a protest at a Barcelona supermarket in December and an action in Madrid where a store was also sprayed with paint.
