SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife managed to locate and identify four minors yesterday, three boys and one girl, who in the last two days had dedicated themselves to throwing stones from a pedestrian bridge at vehicles traveling on the highway of the North (TF-5).
The youngsters are between the ages of 16 and 14 and thanks to citizen collaboration and police work they were found yesterday afternoon in the Ofra area. According to the data available to the police force, these acts have caused damage to five private vehicles and a bus from the Titsa company.
The Local Police of the capital does not rule out that these acts of vandalism, which also pose a serious risk to road safety, could have caused more damage to other users of this road, which has a high traffic density. Previous notices indicated that this group of young people were throwing stones at vehicles from a pedestrian bridge at the height of Ofra.
In recent days, the Local Police officers have carried out various location searches in the surroundings with the physical description and clothing provided by various citizens. Finally, yesterday they were found at the junction of Príncipes de España avenue with Sergeant Provisional street.
Once they were identified, they reported the facts to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office and their parents, except in the case of one of the boys who, after the pertinent verifications, it was determined that he was still on the run from a juvenile center, alerting his educators of all this.
