The municipality of Arona The traditional pilgrimage in honor of San Antonio Abad has been celebrated this Sunday, patron saint festivities that have more than 400 years of history and that began on Thursday, January 12.
Thousands of people have come to the town of Aronero to enjoy the festivities, customs and historical heritage of this municipality in the south of Tenerife. This pilgrimage is also one of the first of the year to be held on the island of Tenerife and the one that initiates the popular festivals in the South Region.
The Town Hall Festival Area launched a free transport device, both from Los Cristianos and from Playa de las Américas, so that residents and tourists could enjoy the pilgrimage without having to take the car. All the buses were filled to celebrate such a special day for the inhabitants of the south of the Island.
