The Tenerife tram will operate from Monday with frequencies below 5 minutes during the morning and midday peak hours on weekdays before the foreseeable increase in the number of travelers because of the gratuity.
From 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the service between Intercambiador and Trinidad will operate with frequencies that will oscillate between 4 and 5 minutes, while Line 2 will provide service every 9 minutes, so there will be 21 vehicles operating simultaneously on the railway line.
The 100% discount on tickets to travel on buses and trams only applies to customers who frequently use these public transports and are holders of the Canarian Resident voucher or the Youth, Senior and People with Disabilities monthly passes.
Passengers who already have one of these tickets will be able to renew it and access said free of charge as long as they have made at least fifteen trips in the previous 30 days.
New users will be able to purchase them free of charge at www.tenmas.es and subsequently meet the requirement of fifteen trips for subsequent free renewal.
