As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), the judge considers that there are indications to charge him with three crimes: homicide for the death of Hayate, who was 46 years old, habitual mistreatment of her and serious injuries to one of her children.
This last charge refers to the injuries suffered by the minor while trying to defend his mother from the attack she suffered.
The accused he had been arrested on December 28 for coercion of his ex-partnerbut the judge who examined the case did not order any measure against him, because Hayate finally refused to testify against him.
Both the alleged murderer and the victim are of Moroccan nationality and resided in the south of Tenerife. The woman had four children, two from a previous relationship and two with the detainee.
According to the count carried out by the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, Hayate is the 85th fatality of male violence in the Canary Islands since there are statistics.
