SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The extraordinary assembly of transport companies held this Thursday has agreed to maintain the strike call next Monday for the school transport services of public schools dependent on the Ministry of Education, which will affect some 30,000 students on more than 1,500 routes.

The Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs (FET) reports in a statement that the documents sent by the Ministry of Education have been evaluated and the companies have recognized the absence of compliance dates in the economic commitments as well as the lack of specification of all aspects that are being sued.

Regarding the possibility of adopting new measures, it has been agreed to make it subject to the evolution of the advances that may occur in the management of the administration throughout the month of January.

The carriers consider that the administration has owed the carriers the ‘IPC clause’ included in the contracts for an amount of about 14 million euros for ten years and the settlement commitment included payment in three installments, 2022, 2023 and 2024, while the third of the debt corresponding to 2022 has not been settled.
