The news was known in August, when the Plenary of the Güímar City Council disapproved of the Personnel councilor, the socialist José Miguel Hernández, with the favorable votes of the PP (proposing group) and Raquel Díaz (Cs), in addition to the abstentions of the Coalition Canaria (CC), councilors Airam Puerta and Beatriz Perdomo (PSOE) and SSP-IU. Only his other two groupmates, Patricia Encinoso and Cándido Gómez, supported him by voting against the Popular Party’s proposal, on alleged workplace harassment of the Corporation’s general secretary.
Now, after a commission of investigation, to which yesterday, in a briefing, no explanations were given to the mayor of CS, Raquel Díaz, the government group convenes an extraordinary plenary session for Monday, where the “harassed” secretary will not be laborally to withdraw the disapproval of the councilor. A day later, there will be another extraordinary plenary session, this one more important, to start the bidding process for the new garbage collection contest.
