Candelaria promotes the construction of the first public social and health center in the municipality. It will be located on Agustín Ramos Ramos street in Barranco Hondo, has multi-year financing and will be built in two phases. The first, for whose execution a period of 30 months is established, will have a budget of 4,767,100 euros, with the availability of 208,176 euros for its equipment.
Included in the Social Health Infrastructure Plan of Tenerifethis project will be carried out under the agreement approved between the Candelaria City Council and the Institute of Social and Socio-Health Care (IASS), an autonomous body of the Cabildo de Tenerife.
The mayoress of Villa Mariana, Mari Brito, highlights that this inter-administrative agreement culminates “seven years of hard work” that will give rise to “an essential infrastructure for the configuration of a solid network in Tenerife”, while Olivia Pérez, the Councilor for Services Social, values the project as essential “to improve the ratios of residential places and day centers, since it will improve the coverage of social services in matters of dependency.”
