Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium had to work hard during the early hours of yesterday to put out the flames registered in the establishment where a nightclub was open years ago in the Ten Bel area, in the Costa del Silencio urbanization, in the municipality of Arona, in the south of Tenerife.
Professional firefighters from the Las Chafiras and Santa Cruz de Tenerife parks, as well as volunteers from Adeje and Guía de Isora, came to the aforementioned enclave. The different resources used about five hours to put out the fire, specifically between 01:00 and 06:00, according to some sources.
The reason is that the activated resources had to deal with a large fire in an abandoned premises that has an area of more than one thousand square meters. The flames affected, above all, the roof of the enclosure. The fire services faced the fire from the perimeter.
Thanks to the efforts of the firefighters, the fire did not reach the Alborada hotel establishment, located nearby, although it did burn some palm trees.
The property had been closed for almost a decade and in a state of abandonment. For years it functioned as a restaurant and lounge to celebrate all kinds of events.
