The Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) of Santiago del Teide, which is located on Avenida Marítima in Playa de La Arena, has recently presented its annual report corresponding to the year 2022 and it states that it has intervened in 146 mediations, the majority with positive results that allowed users to recover close to €10,000.
The annual report also indicates that a total of 50 complaints were collected and forwarded to the competent bodies in charge of managing these complaints.
For its part, the total number of inquiries made by consumers in person at said office or by telephone was 166.
The most frequent queries and complaints have been those of mechanical workshops, post offices, internet purchases, online reservations, DIY stores, technical services, airlines and those that have increased considerably have been insurance companies, electricity companies, entities banks and mobile phone companies, being the same 95% of the total of said claims.
