The Realejero City Council provides public lighting to the La Charca road

The City Council of Los Realejos dota has invested 58,000 euros in the works to provide lighting to the La Charca road, which responds to “a historic demand from the neighborhood”, as recognized by the local government (PP). In total, 26 light points have been installed in the section that connects the towns of San Agustín and Realejo Alto.

Since last April, this route depends directly on the Realejero City Council. The Council of Tenerife it formalized its transfer to the municipality and before that it undertook the integral rehabilitation of the pavement and the construction of a pedestrian path.

The mayor, Adolfo González (PP), stresses that “the City Council is aware of the importance of this artery as an outlet for the nearby Avenida de Canary Islands and access to the Agustín Espinosa Early Childhood and Primary Education Center (CEIP). For this reason, it had demanded its transfer and the improvements made, highlighting the commitment of both administrations to improve the safety and benefits of this route already integrated into the urban fabric.

González recalls that “with the work carried out and the placement of the relevant lighting, the road will also become a pleasant stretch for lovers of exercise and night walks.” During this year 2022, the Realejero City Council has implemented more than 130 new public lighting points in the different neighborhoods with a global investment of more than 383,000 euros.
