SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 31 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 36-year-old man has been seriously injured when he suffered a fall on the coast of Arona, on the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The events occurred around 9:00 a.m. this Saturday in the La Ballena beach area, on the Arona coast, the place where the Maritime Rescue rescue helicopter, the Helimer, has moved after reaching the rocks with the help of a bather.
Thus, after the Helimer reached the area where the young man was, he carried out the rescue with the help of the Tenerife Fire Brigade and evacuated him to the Tenerife Sur airport where personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) verified that the person affected had severe trauma to the lower extremities, for which he was transferred to the Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria University Hospital.
Agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police also appeared at the scene of the incident.
