The Canary Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH), autonomous body attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, informs that next week it will be possible to donate on the islands of Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, both at mobile points and at fixed points of the Canary Transfusion Network, distributed by the islands.

It can be donated in The Gran Canarian palmson the Mesa y Lopez avenue, next to Massimo Dutti, with extraction hours from 9:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and, in Telde, at the Alcampo Shopping Center, from 9:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In Tenerife, in San Cristobal de La Laguna, in the urban area, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The mobile unit will be in the Plaza de la Catedral, Obispo Rey Redondo street. In addition, the donation points at the University Hospital of the Canary Islands will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and at the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria Hospital from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The General University Hospital of La Palma, on Calle Buenavista de Arriba s/n, in Breña Alta, has a fixed extraction point where you can donate by appointment from Monday to Sunday, and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. To request an appointment by phone 922 185 312/922 185 320.

Where to donate in Gran Canaria

Next week you can donate at the Las Arenas Shopping Center in Las Palmas de Gran CanariaThe hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the exception of the entry on Monday, which is delayed until 10:15 a.m. On Friday, you can continue donating, but only in the morning shift.

Another operative remains installed next to the management of the Los Alisios Shopping Center, on Calle Hermanos Domínguez Santana, s/n, highway 308, from 9:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the exception of the entrance on Monday, which will be at 10:15 a.m. hours.

At the fixed point of Alcampo de Telde Shopping Centertogether with the lottery administration, you can donate on January 2, 3, 4 and 5, the hours being Monday and Tuesday from Monday to Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on January 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Regarding the fixed blood collection points, the ICHH makes its headquarters in the street in Alfonso XIII, number 4, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Monday through Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and from 3:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., except holidays (it has a ford for donors). On January 5 the schedule will be only tomorrow.

The fixed point of Santa Lucia de Tirajana, Located in the annex of the Neighborhood Health Center, on Calle Guatiza, s/n, it will remain open to the public from Monday to Wednesday, from 5:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday and Friday it will be open from 10:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 30 hours (except holidays).

You can also go to other fixed points of the Canary Transfusion Network (without an appointment) such as the Maternal and Child University Hospital of the Canary Islands, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Insular University Hospital of Gran Canariawhere you can donate from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., except holidays (it has a ford for donors in both cases).

Lastly, in the Hospiten Roca San Agustinyou can donate by appointment by phone, by calling 928 301 012 (option 8), Monday through Wednesday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (except holidays).

Where to donate in Fuerteventura

You can also donate at the Fuerteventura General Hospital, where the fixed blood donation point of the Canarian Transfusion Network is located on the Island. This point will also be operational from Tuesday to Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To donate, it is convenient to make an appointment at 928 546 684. Except holidays.

Where to donate in Lanzarote

The fixed blood donation point of the Canary Islands Transfusion Network will also be operational in the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To donate it is necessary to request an appointment at number 928 59 55 72 option 3. Except holidays.

Requirements to donate

To donate blood you can go directly or you can request an appointment by calling 012 or 922 470 012 / 928 301 012 (option 8), from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or by filling in the form published on the cover of the web effectodonacion.com. Before going to donate, it is advisable to review the information published on this same web page in the Information and Protocol tab, to familiarize yourself with the established security measures and the self-assessment test.

The ICHH also recalls that people vaccinated against COVID-19both with one and two doses and the booster dose, can donate blood 48 hours after inoculation.
