The City Council launches the Extraordinary Social Employment Program 2022-2023

The Santiago del Teide City Council has launched the Extraordinary Social Employment Program 2022-2023, through which around 30 unemployed people from the municipality have begun to work and provide public service to improve the services offered by the council.

Mayor Emilio Navarro was present at its presentation, as well as different members of the government group.

Said project is financed by the Santiago del Teide City Council, the Canary Islands Employment Service (FONDOS PIEC) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, and its participants will be distributed in the different municipal areas such as administration, works and services, tourism, social services etc

Within the policies that are developed in the administration, with this new agreement it is intended to provide an opportunity for labor insertion, especially for the long-term unemployed, thus promoting job opportunities for the inhabitants of the municipality.
