SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife allocates half a million euros to the creation of new playgrounds and the renovation of equipment, as well as the accessibility of play areas, in the 13 municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants, which the town councils will be able to undertake throughout of the entire year 2023.
The insular president, Pedro Martín, pointed out in a note that “this is a line of subsidies for construction projects of new spaces, as well as for work to improve and refurbish existing playgrounds in their territories, whose gaming equipment and equipment have been deteriorated by use and the passage of time”.
Each council is entitled to a grant of 40,000 euros, clarified Pedro Martín, who explained that “an equitable distribution has been made in the amount consigned to each municipality as they are territories of a similar nature and economic and technical capacity.”
The Councilor for Municipal Cooperation and Housing of the Cabildo, Zebenzuí Chinea, for his part, added that “the objective of this economic collaboration has been to help girls and boys to enjoy modern children’s play areas, with security guarantees and accessibility”.
Thus, it indicates that “the amount of the subsidy must be used for expenses related to the execution of improvement works, the provision of equipment for this type of park or the construction of new recreational areas.”
The municipalities that will access this subsidy are Vilaflor de Chasna, Arafo, San Juan de la Rambla, El Tanque, La Guancha, Fasnia, La Victoria, Buenavista, Los Silos, El Sauzal, Garachico, La Matanza and Arico and will have a term of up to the month of December 2023 for the execution of the works.
Zebenzuí Chinea valued “the collaboration that is being carried out by the Cabildo de Tenerife with the municipalities, especially those with less economic capacity, to guarantee modern and quality public services in their municipalities.”
