When the driver was asked about the origin, he could not indicate it or provide any documentation, so the agents proceeded to seize the shellfish, whose weight amounted to 35.60 kilos.
The defendant is a repeat offender and has already been denounced previously for similar acts, details the Civil Guard in a note.
For this reason, the agents made the corresponding complaint for infringement of Law 17/2003, of April 10, on Fishing in the Canary Islands, addressed to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Government of the Canary Islands in relation to the transport of shellfish in a private vehicle without a document or invoice that could indicate its traceability or origin of the shellfish.
