Spain is the favorite destination of Europeans and Spaniards to receive the year 2023, according to the flight and hotel search engine www.jetcost.eswhich ensures that Palma de Mallorca, Alicante, Barcelona, ​​Malaga, Madrid and Tenerife They are among the most sought after destinations by both national and international travelers.

For this reason, according to Jetcost, Spain is the most sought after country to start the year 2023, ahead of Italy, Portugal, France and the United Kingdom.

The data that analyzes the search results for flights between December 27, 2022 and January 4, 2023, show that in the vast majority of cases travelers opt for destinations where the weather is good; thus cities such as Alicante, Malaga or Seville are among the favourites.

Alicante is the most requested city by British and Dutch travellers, the fifth by the French, the seventh by the Germans, the twelfth by the Italians and the thirteenth by the Portuguese.

For its part, Malaga is the second most sought after by Dutch travelers, the third by the French, the fifth by the Germans and the British, the eighth by the Italians and the ninth by the Portuguese; and Seville is the third most desired destination by the Portuguese, the sixth by the French and Italians, the tenth by the British and Dutch and the twelfth by the Germans.

But European tourists are not just looking for good weather. Large cities such as Madrid or Barcelona are also in the pools to say goodbye to the year.

Thus, Barcelona is the most requested by French and Italian travellers, the second by the Germans and Portuguese and the fourth by the British and Dutch. Madrid ranks number one for Portuguese tourists, third for Italians, fourth for the French, sixth for Germans and British, and seventh for the Dutch.

THE ISLANDS, THE FAVORITES

As for the islands, the Canaries are once again the Spanish autonomous community most sought after by Europeans to receive the year 2023, and within them, Tenerife it is the second most requested by British, French and Italian travelers, the third by the Dutch and the fourth by the Germans and Portuguese.
