SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 26 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies, has declared a haze alert situation throughout the Archipelago starting next midnight.
This decision is made taking into account the information available and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).
Generalized and especially severe haze is expected this Tuesday with reduced visibility below 1,500 meters. Tomorrow the concentrations will be widespread between 640-1,240 micrograms of dust per m3 of air.
The population is urged to follow the self-protection advice of the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies.
