The regional budget includes the water network and another school on the Arico coast

The archer and deputy for Tenerife Teresa Cruz defends “the importance of vital items for the municipality of Arico” which includes the Budget of Canary Islands for next year. It explicitly mentions the construction of a new educational center and the water supply network in the coastal area of the municipality.

Cruz Oval details and cites the 100,000 euros to “start work on the new Compulsory Education Center (CEO) on the municipality’s coast.” The regional deputy of PSOE por Tenerife points out that “in this area of Arico the only center there is a unitary one.” With this forecast, “we thus respond to a need that families living on the coast have” Ariquera, qualifies, to also highlight the fact that the Ministry of Education already requested, in 2021, the land from the Arico City Council for the construction of an educational center on the coast.

It so happens that on January 27, 2021, the Plenary of Arico gave the go-ahead for the transfer of 12,000 square meters of municipal land to the Ministry of Education to build a public school in the town of Abades. It is about triple the area that the regional Executive collects to satisfy this demand from the Ariquero municipality.

Likewise, Teresa Cruz points out that the Budget of the Canary Islands Government allocates an item of 410,000 euros to build the Listada water supply network, “although it is a municipal competence and given the lack of solutions on the part of the Arico government.” Remember that the Government of the Canary Islands He drew up a project for the supply network at the time and “now we also endow an item to carry out the work,” he says.

The budget of the Government of the Canary Islands is added to that of the Cabildo de Tenerife to finance municipal powers due to the neglect of the local government of Arico, says the PSOE. “This is the result of the coordinated work with the compañeros and compañeras, in this case the PSOE of Arico, through its spokesperson, Olivia Delgado,” he underlines. He refers to “the items incorporated to respond to other demands of the Island, since, together with my fellow deputies from Tenerife, we have visited and held permanent work meetings, to study the solutions to the proposals that he has made to us. get the citizenship “, concrete.
