Boarding a ship in offshore waters Canary Islandswithin an anti-drug operation directed from Galicia, results in the seizure of a cache of three tons of cocaine and the arrest of the three crew members of the ship. To these three detainees must be added another 11, the result of various searches carried out in different towns in Galicia.
This new blow against drug trafficking with 14 detainees at the moment it has its origin in a operation authorized by the Court of Instruction number 1 of Vigo. Precisely in Vigo the leaders of the network have been arrested. The magistrate of the aforementioned court issued the search warrants in the Vigo regions of Arousa and Pontecaldelas, as well as in the province of Ourense. The intercepted ship, after being searched, was directed to the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The operation, which has been declared secret, remains open and the balance of 14 arrested is not yet final.
The EDOA and ECO groups of the Civil Guard they had deployed this morning an important operation against drug trafficking in Vigo, in Ponteareas, in Pontecaldelas, in Arousa and in Ourense . According to sources close to the case, it was planned to make seven entries and house searches. The drug was destined for Galicia.
Expectation
In Arousa they searched the headquarters of a company in Rubiáns (Vilagarcia), a house in Corvillón (Cambados), and three buildings in Corón (Vilanova de Arousa). In the latter case, some twenty guards entered two houses and a neighboring warehouse, located very close to the public school of San Roque de Corón. The operation coincided with the arrival at the school of the children with their families, generating a lot of expectation.
As sources from the Benemérita have confirmed to Europa Press, it is about an “important operation” against drug trafficking which has led to the carrying out of several house searches.
